Barton Upon Humber Allotment Society Horticultural Show

The Barton upon Humber Allotment Society Horticultural Show is now held in the town annually in August at the Trinity Methodist Church on Holydyke. Produce sections include vegetables, fruit, flowers, floral decorations, house plants, baking, preserves, and several sections especially for ages up to 16 years. It is open to members of the community as well as to allotment plot holders and is a great chance to show off your best produce and maybe win a prize!

A schedule of entrance categories is published each year by the Society who also arrange judges and volunteers to assist with the smooth running of the Show. All First, Second and Third Prizes win a small monetary award and many of the category winners will also receive either a Cup or Trophy, often donated by the families of previous plot holders. Refreshments are available as well as the very popular Tombola.
